Applications, Transcripts and Mail

It would appear that Senior year is a very busy year- so far we have been filling out applications to 5 colleges, getting transcripts done and getting a ton of college mail. Not complaining at all, its just all very interesting and keeps us really busy and its all so exciting to see my child about to embark on a new journey of her life!
I finally got my blog how I really want it to look- its been in my head for quite some time, I just hadn't had time to do anything and we just finished Fall Break and then, the dreaded flu came to visit. Thankfully, he has been kicked out of my house and I can think again, which left me time to do this!
Next up this week are Fall Senior photos- I will post as soon as I can...

We have a Senior!!!

We officially have a Senior in our household! Class of 2013! I will post more about her "Senior-ness" in the coming school year- I need to go adjust now.

Long lost friend...

Before FB came along, this blog was my outlet. I miss it and am officially back with the beginning of another school year. I would like to continue to blog about our home school journey on a normal basis. I looked back to some of my first blog posts and went thru different months and years and LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT! We have had some awesome experiences! So, since it has been awhile since I have shared what we have done, I am going to back track and posts some photos. Enjoy!

Hot, Hot, Hot!!!

We are in the middle of a drought. I have never seen this happen here and see and experiencing things I haven't before like the dryness of the air itself is really doing a job our allergies and sinuses. Our garden this year is very small and I won't even begin to talk about the grass. And then, to add the record heat...ugh! Anyway, when life serves you lemons, make lemonade. We wanted to see if it was hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk. Our results:
