Blogger Friend School Assignment #14

Wow, just when I thought I finally caught up on my work- my teacher gives me another assignment!

I am not complaining at all! Valentine's Day is special to me for more than just showing love to my loved ones. I received the Gift of the Holy Ghost, 26 years ago! It was the day I experienced God love for me for myself! Thank You, Jesus!!!Also, it is my youngest son's birthday- I had to have a c-section and I got to choose the date of  his arrival, which initially was on my husband's birthday-the 16th. So I thought how fun it would be be to share a birthday with my baby! Happy 5th Birthday, Fatty and Happy 36th Birthday, Honey! When I read my assignment for this week, I knew exactly what I wanted my love letter to Jesus to say. I have included a video from youtube at the bottom-make sure you turn off my music at the bottom right side of the page:

I lift my hands in total adoration unto You

You reign on the throne for You are God and God alone
Because of You my cloudy days are gone
I can sing to You this song
I just want to say that I love You more than anything

Love me in Your Arms
You were my shelter from the storm
When all my friends were gone
You were right there all along
I never knew a love like this before, Oh
I just want to say that I love You more than anything

         I Love You Jesus
I worship and adore You
Just want to tell
Lord, I Love You more than anything

Blogger Friend School Assignment #6

This week’s assignment is to share a piece of your past. Our blogs are important pieces for our future generations, but when most of us were growing up, blogging wasn’t around. I hope that this assignment will help you to share your past on your blogs. Each piece of our childhood years played an important part in who we are today. The assignment is to post a baby picture & Share a special scripture that reminds you of your past.
Okay, here is mine. I am about 2 months old...

The first verse I can remeber memorizing was from Mark 11:22 "...have faith in God." This verse still helps me today. So all that said..."Having obtained help from God, I continue unto this day..." Acts 26:22

Blogger Friend School Assignment #5

The Assignment this week it to use your Blog Name (or your own pen/real name) and create signs. There are two ways to do this and you can do one or both ways.

  1. Visit Image Chef (www.ImageChef.com) and create some free cute signs. The easiest way to explain this is follow the templates — choose, customize (type in name), and then Preview. Once you see the design, right click and SAVE to your computer. AND/OR you can be really creative and create your own signs, take digital pictures and share them. (Examples….Refrigerator Magnets, Shaving Cream, Frosting, etc.)

2. Share a special verse!

After working on the signs, I decided to just join #1 & #2 together by including my verse in my sign- as you can see, one verse just wouldn't do for this week...

My favorite sign is the header of my blog- The background pic was already on there and I just added my children and my verse...

Assignment #4

The Internet offers a lot of treasures! It may not be in the form of actual gold, although I’m sure some could find some on the Internet - probably on ebay! Being a Blogger Friend is all about sharing our treasures. The assignment this week is to share your Internet treasures.

Hmmmmm.... I have so many to share!!!!! I'll just do about 10.

1. Enchanted Learning: All kinds of educational worksheets to supplement whatever we are learning about.

2. Cosmeo.com: My oldest son saw this on a commercial and told me about it. Its a website by the discovery channel for school age kids. There are videos and games and a ton of help for whatever our topic is. I can save things for later viewing and my children have their own site and they get points for various things they do on there, and later they can get a prize!!!! The site cost $10 a month, but to see if you like it, you can get it free for 30 days.

3. Abe Books: Someone just shared this site with me and I've ordered a couple of books from them. They are good for filling in a missing book to a set.

4. My blog hoster

5. Little Fingers Software: My Sister In Law (it should be my sister-in-love) sent me this website. My middle son, who is 6, loved playing it! He stayed it for almost an hour going to various games. It's a website for preschoolers through  about 3 rd grade. There are games on different topics...check it out!

6. Starfall: Good for children starting to read

7. Live and Learn Press: Lapbooks that are great to make!

8. Hands of a Child: More great lapbooks

9. Home School E-store: I can't explain it- just go take a look at it!

10. Amazon to order just a little bit of everything, which means I must also include ebay!

11. Notebooking  Pages: Interested in notebooking? There are tons of free pages here to get you started

12. I have to mention my yahoo groups that I am a part of. Check out yahoo and see if they any groups that fit you interest.

13. MSSS Bible Crafts and Resources: I can't believe that one slipped my mind! I use it so much.

Wow, I went over my limit-oh, well. If I think of more, I will add them later.

The Lord has done so many great things for my wonderful Husband and I and my family this week, until I just couldn't settle down to write from all the excitement. I will share my testimony later on as things progress. Now, my assignment for this week...
Using the FIRST letter of the Alphabet, describe yourself or things that are important to you. The hard part: use ONLY one word per letter! Share another scripture that is upon your heart this week.my super-great picture rnbw_a1aAgape rnbw_b1aballoons rnbw_c1acute : ) rnbw_d1adetermined rnbw_e1aexcelling rnbw_f1afun rnbw_g1aGodly rnbw_h1ahappy rnbw_i1aimportant rnbw_j1ajoyful rnbw_k1akept rnbw_l1aloved rnbw_m1amiracle rnbw_n1anice rnbw_o1aoptamistic rnbw_o1apostive rnbw_q1aquiet (sometimes) rnbw_r1arighteous rnbw_s1asaved! rnbw_t1atrustful rnbw_u1aunified rnbw_v1avictorious rnbw_w1awashed rnbw_x1aeXcelling rnbw_y1ayeilding rnbw_z1aZion              Anyone dizzy yet? "And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the LORD: Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall. My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me. This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."

My first Blogger School Assignment

A. Give a brief introduction paragraph stating how you got started blogging and your personal goals for journaling.

I first learned of blogging about a year and a half ago and by accident. I signed up for it not having any idea what I was doing. Then when it really dawned on me what was going up, I kinda liked it. Then in June I learned how to fix my blog up and make it look presentable and I've been blogging every since!
My goals for journaling are to write about our adventures of homeschooling and help others see what homeschooling is like in our family.

B. Share a “dream” place to blog in picture if you can. Suggestions…..a rock on the beach, under a tree at a park….take or find a picture(s) that would best describe a PLACE that you would LOVE to blog. DREAM!

Hmmmm.....that would be here with the fireplace in my bedroom:

C. Answer some questions to tell us more about you:

  1. What time do you usually blog? At night when I am up by myself

  2. What is your favorite drink? A Shirely Temple- Sprite mixed with cherry syrup and cherries

  3. What is your favorite book? Besides the Bible- Christian Historical Fiction

  4. What is your favorite dessert? My husband's cheese cake

  5. Share a scripture that has been an inspiration in your growth with Christ.                       "Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
    (Philippians 4:11-13)

EXTRA CREDIT FUN: This week make a commitment to visit 10 classmates blogs and leave them a comment.
