My first Blogger School Assignment

A. Give a brief introduction paragraph stating how you got started blogging and your personal goals for journaling.

I first learned of blogging about a year and a half ago and by accident. I signed up for it not having any idea what I was doing. Then when it really dawned on me what was going up, I kinda liked it. Then in June I learned how to fix my blog up and make it look presentable and I've been blogging every since!
My goals for journaling are to write about our adventures of homeschooling and help others see what homeschooling is like in our family.

B. Share a “dream” place to blog in picture if you can. Suggestions…..a rock on the beach, under a tree at a park….take or find a picture(s) that would best describe a PLACE that you would LOVE to blog. DREAM!

Hmmmm.....that would be here with the fireplace in my bedroom:

C. Answer some questions to tell us more about you:

  1. What time do you usually blog? At night when I am up by myself

  2. What is your favorite drink? A Shirely Temple- Sprite mixed with cherry syrup and cherries

  3. What is your favorite book? Besides the Bible- Christian Historical Fiction

  4. What is your favorite dessert? My husband's cheese cake

  5. Share a scripture that has been an inspiration in your growth with Christ.                       "Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
    (Philippians 4:11-13)

EXTRA CREDIT FUN: This week make a commitment to visit 10 classmates blogs and leave them a comment.

  2. Hi, I actually saw a comment from you on Carol's (aka Three Little Ladies) blog and wanted to pop over. I love your template! What a wonderful blog! Also the lapbooks are well done--I've just begun experimenting with these with our children, and I so appreciate the results thus far. They're retaining more as a result of the presentation and the hands-on approach to learning. You can't beat that with a stick! God bless you as you move into a new year with your family.

  3. If you love Christian Historical Fiction, you'll love The Fields of Bannockburn.

You are my 7th visit to other BFS posts tonight.. and I love the fireplace.. nothing like the warmth of burning wood. A friend is rebuilding a truck for us, and soon we'll be able to go out into the woods and haul out all the old deadwood so we can burn it in our fireplace.

  8. I am so glad to have run into your blog through BFS! I have really enjoying browsing a bit and am going to put you in my favorites so I can come back and read more. :) The lapbook your son did by himself reminds me of something my son would do. I'm going to pop over to his blog later today and let my son see it. We are planning for him to start his own blog soon...maybe they can "get to know each other." :) I also love your "office" folders...we've been talking about doing something like that with foam board, but I like the laminated folders, too. Thanks for sharing!

  9. Hello fellow Weaver Mom and BFS student. You have a lovely fireplace. How lucky you are to have that in your bedroom. It would be a wonderful place to blog. I enjoy Christian historical fiction too. What are some of your favorite authors? Your children's lapbooks are great. I can't wait to get started on our first one here in the next week or two. Thanks for sharing your assignment. I look forward to visiting again in the future. Have a wonderful day.

    Blessings,

    Meg
