My 1st grader had an assignment to build a volcano. He was so excited! We made our own clay- that's why he has so much white powder on him:
4 Cups of flour,
1 Cup of salt and
1 1/2 Cups of water.
Here are his pictures with a little video clip from off my digital camera of the wonderful results of all his efforts. I don't know who enjoyed more- him or his brothers:
